Today, I had the pleasure of speaking at the #PEOF PFMD .org meeting in Italy, where I gave a presentation on the importance of patient engagement within healthcare regulators to an audience of patient groups, clinicians, health tech entrepreneurs, health strategists and industry professionals.During my talk, I outlined the different roles patients’ experiences can play, whether on an individual level where a patient shares their specific experience, or on a collective level where a single patient can speak on behalf of all patients through their lived experience. With time and training, patients can inhabit these dual consciousnesses and deliver impactful patient engagement through a strong patient voice.Heart Valve Voice , we’ve seen the extraordinary results this engagement can have on guidelines, regulators, cardiac networks, ICBs, research, and trials. With good patient engagement from design to delivery, we can enhance patient experience and safety. The future of endoscopy is here! There is a new invention by Pillbot, a swallowable pill containing a wireless camera that can livestream the inside of your body. During a TED talk, co-founder Alex Luebke swallowed the pill live on stage, demonstrating its potential to give physicians a real-time view of a patient's insides. This could revolutionise the way we diagnose and treat a variety of conditions.
